The 92nd Anniversary Hoover Angus Sale was held Tuesday, February 4, 2020 in Creston, IA. One hundred seventy-four lots grossed $863,300 to average $4961. Cattle sold to 16 states and Canada.
Ninety-four bulls averaged $6176. Sixty-seven yearling bulls averaged $6638 and 27 fall bulls averaged $5030.
Forty-seven spring bred heifers averaged $4029 and 24 fall bred heifers averaged $2442. Eight open heifers averaged $3413, and one embryo package sold for $7500.
Top bull: Lot 13, Hoover Victorious (previously named Hoover Entice V25), sold 2/3 interest for $45,000 to Grimmius Cattle Co. of Hanford, CA. He is a 1-13-19 son of Mogck Entice.
Second top bull: Lot 9, Hoover Viper V193 (previously named Hoover 38 Special V193), sold 2/3 interest for $25,000 to repeat customer CRV-USA, Madison, WI. He is a 2-21-19 son of Baldridge 38 Special.
