2014 Hoover Angus Farm Production Sale
Hoover Angus Farm’s 24th Annual, 86th Anniversary Sale was held Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the Creston Livestock Auction in Creston, IA. 185 live lots grossed $1,082,100 to average $5849, further topping last year’s record event. Cattle sold to 16 states.
105 bulls averaged $6975. 25 fall bulls averaged $6420, and 80 yearling bulls averaged $7149.
44 spring bred heifers averaged $4788, 26 fall bred heifers averaged $3656, and 10 open heifers averaged $4400.
Top bull: Lot 1, Hoover Hawkeye, sold 2/3 interest for $43,000 to Three Trees Ranch, Sharpsburg, GA. He is a 2-15-13 son of Mogck Bullseye.
2nd top bull: Lot 82, Hoover Elation M123, sold 2/3 interest for $25,000 to Select Sires, Plain City, OH. He is a 2-13-13 son of Basin Excitement.
