Hoover cow produces the top-selling bull at the 2021 Midland Bull Test!
Miss Blackcap Ellston J2, a 10th generation bred, born, and raised Hoover Angus cow, produced the $158,000 top-selling bull of all breeds at the 2021 Midland Bull Test! The winning bidder was ST Genetics. Midland is known world-wide as the “Granddaddy” of performance testing and is the largest feed efficiency testing program in North America. Their elite reputation brings in over 600 bulls annually to be tested and then sold. J2 was the top-selling open heifer at $20,000 in our 2011 Annual Production Sale. Hoover Angus retained one flush on J2, which produced Hoover No Doubt and four flush sisters to No Doubt, three of which earned the prestigious Pathfinder award! Even at 11 years of age, J2’s progeny are still achieving great feats and financial rewards for her owners! Congratulations to her owners!
2021 Pathfinder Report
Hoover Angus & Landi have 41 cows in the 2021 Pathfinder report, as well as 7 herd sires: Hoover Dam, Basin Excitement, Mogck Bullseye, SydGen C C & 7, Connealy Counselor, Bruns Top Cut 373, and Connealy Impact. Cows that earn the prestigious Pathfinder designation from the American Angus Association have met strict criteria for early calving, a regular calving interval, and excellent progeny performance. Pathfinder animals are designated by the “#” symbol in pedigrees.
