With a significant number of progeny genomically tested, Hawkeye offers significant accuracy on his EPD profile, with his Docility his hallmark trait. We absolutely see this calm temperament in his progeny. Hawkeye was selected by Three Trees Ranch as the top-selling bull in our 2014 sale for $43,000.

In our 2016 sale, the top-selling bull at $31,000 and the top-selling heifer at $10,750 were sired by Hawkeye. Thirteen Hawkeye sons averaged $7923. There were numerous standouts in this calf crop, and Hawkeye heifers were Landi’s favorite sire group. Hawkeye sired the #1 adjusted weaning weight female of the 2015 Hoover crop as well as two others among the top 10 WW heifers. The #1 adjusted weaning weight ET heifer was also sired by Hawkeye.

Hawkeye’s daughters in production are beautiful cows with plenty of style and eye appeal. They also have nice udder quality.

Hawkeye is backed by 11 generations of Blackcap Ellston females produced by four generations of the Hoover family. He had an actual birth weight of 65 pounds as a heifer's first calf, an adjusted weaning weight of 844 pounds for a ratio of 111, an adjusted yearling weight of 1,505 pounds for a ratio of 110, an IMF ratio of 109 and an EXCEPTIONAL adjusted yearling ribeye measure of 19.1’, ratio 119. Hawkeye was the 5th top weaning weight, 3rd top yearling weight, #1 scanning ribeye bull of his crop.

Hawkeye is a thick, stout made bull. He excels for body depth and rib shape. His tremendous muscle comes from both sides of the pedigree, and is evident in the three generations of Blackcap Ellston females that precede him.

Hawkeye's dam is a clean fronted, beautifully made CC&7 female with a nice udder and ideal teat size. She records 6-101 WR, 6-103 YR, 6-111 IMF ratio, and 6-107 ribeye ratio with an exceptional 357 day calving interval. K97’s 2016 son was 5th top selling bull of our 2017 auction at $18,500 to repeat customer Glen Hanson. This bull was the #1 IMF and ribeye scanning bull of the sale! K97’s only daughter came into production in 2017, and her first calf was the 15th top weaning weight bull of the 2017 Hoover crop!

Grandam G278 produced the #1 adjusted WW bull in our fall 2014 crop that sold for $25,500 in our 2016 auction. Another son fetched $17,000 at auction. G278 is a maternal sister to the dam of Hoover No Doubt.
