Yon Strong was our selection and 2^nd top-selling bull of the Fall 2024 Yon Sale. Named Yon Strong not only in honor of his sire, Armstrong, but in regards to the strength and resiliency of the local communities in the East that were hit with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, as the Yon family was impacted prior to their 2024 sale.

Dam Yon Sarah D668 has made her mark as one of the most impressive females in Yon history. Her sons include Yon Saluda and Yon Top Cut G730 (both at Select Sires) as well as others in numerous progressive programs across the country.

This gentle bull had an adjusted weaning weight of 690 pounds with no creep, ratio 109, and a strong yearling weight ratio of 107. He scanned a 3.81 IMF, ratio 106 and a 12.3” ribeye, ratio 105. He is long bodied, sound made, and slick haired to work well in fescue country.

When Yon Strong arrived, we noticed his super calm demeanor. We had a cow in heat, so within the hour of him arriving from South Carolina, Yon Strong got to breed his first female. This calm bull went right to work and learned out how to breed his first cow within 15 minutes. He continues to be a high libido bull.
