Hoover Angus purchased a semen interest in Galactic in the spring of 2024, and then in the spring of 2025 purchased walking rights on him. Galactic is now approaching 8 years of age, still superior footed and successfully servicing cows.

“He's the one!” says Joy after seeing this calm temperament, 5 year-old bull in person. Landi relates, “He's just what we need to maintain and even increase frame size while keeping other traits in check. We are thrilled about the foot quality this bull exhibits at his age, as well as an exceptional ability to slick off early in the season - as seen in person and with his Hair Shed EPD. Galactic will be just the ticket for our commercial customers looking to sell calves by the pound and retain replacement females. We couldn't be more pleased!”

After weaning his first calves at Hoover Angus in the fall of 2025, we certainly appreciate them for their added frame, length and growth. Five of the top 10 weaning weight bulls (non-ET) were sired by Galactic as well as 5 of the top 10 heifers! In our spring yearling crop of heifers, Galactic sired 5 of the top 6 yearling weights! In our spring 2026 crop, Galactic sired the #1 adjusted weaning weight bull among 150+ herd mates.

Galactic combines an appropriate level of calving ease and growth along with a reasonable amount of milk to be able to produce tight-uddered, long-lasting females that can excel in fescue country. Despite added frame, Galactic progeny still offer an uncommon amount of depth and rib.
