Mogck Promise 1844 was the $50,000 selection of Hoover Angus and Select Sires in the 2025 Mogck & Sons Sale! He froze semen on his first collection at CGS and quickly put up several hundred units of semen!

The first Promise calves have now been weaned, and they are definitely an impressive sire group! They were born with appropriate birth weights to be calving ease (zero assists born from heifers) and they exhibit plenty of length and muscle shape. Calves appear to carry on Promise’s calm demeanor. A large sire group of Promise calves will sell in our February 2, 2027 sale, and heifers will sell bred to him.

Landi viewed the dam of Promise prior to the sale and found her to be a superior uddered 6 year-old raising another excellent calf. Her progeny have a well above average 103 weaning ratio and 101 yearling ratio with a 369 day calving interval.

Promise offers an outcross pedigree to the vast majority of the Angus breed today and bends the growth curve from CED and BW to WW better than any other Prolific son in the breed!

Promise bred heifers at Hoover Angus in the summers of 2025 and 2026 and is now at Select Sires.
