He is a unique calving ease package that offers thickness, a sound skeleton, nice feet, a calm demeanor, and a slick hair coat. Despite his low birth weight, Remedy was the 3rd top weaning weight bull of his crop! He offers an outcross pedigree to the vast majority of the Angus breed and unbeatable EPD package.

Remedy’s $Maternal Index is $25 above the best 1% of the breed, and he comes from the cow family to back it up. His dam, B62, was an exceptional uddered first calf heifer with Remedy and she now serves as the 4th top indexing cow of the Hoover herd! She records a 367 day calving interval as well as 2-98 BWR, 2-111 WR, 1-107 YR. Her second son tied the 11th top weaning weight bull of his crop and will sell in our February 2, 2027 sale.

Pathfinder grandam P295 was low birth weight cow whose calves had super growth. One son at 9 years of age was the #1 weaning weight bull of his crop! P295 had an excellent 363 day calving interval on her 8 progeny, so she did her job well! The only thing I would change is her bull:heifer ratio. It’s 7:1 – her only daughter was B62.

Three of P295’s sons were photo features, and her sons work for Steve Norris & Shannon Rusk, Tom Loehner, Mike Curtis, John McCarthy, Don Cranston and Gordon Houser.

Remedy’s sire, Empire, has been our go-to heifer bull for many years and he continues to make impressive calving ease progeny that excel at weaning time. His sons have topped our sale the past two years. Thousands of units of semen have been sold on Empire throughout the Midwest in heifer projects, many using the bull for multiple years.
