2013 Hoover Angus Farm Production Sale
Hoover Angus Farm’s 23rd Annual, 85th Anniversary Sale was held Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the Creston Livestock Auction in Creston, IA. 211 lots grossed $1,123,550 to average $5325, further topping last year’s record event. Cattle sold to 14 states and two Canadian providences.
117 bulls averaged $6052. 32 fall bulls averaged $6352, and 85 yearling bulls averaged $5939.
61 spring bred heifers averaged $4932, 23 fall bred heifers averaged $3107, and 10 open heifers averaged $4315.
Top bull: Lot 22, Hoover Inspiration, sold 2/3 interest for $56,000 to Alta Genetics, Alberta, Canada. He is a 1-20-12 son of SydGen CC&7.
2nd top bull: Lot 34, Hoover CC&7 L38, sold 2/3 interest for $17,000 to Maass Angus Farm, Paullina, IA and Paulsen Angus Farms, Hartley, IA. He is a 1-28-12 full brother to Hoover Dam.
