Friction is one of the biggest "spread" bulls in the Hoover herd bull line-up. With a far below breed average BW EPD to a WW EPD in the top 2% of the breed, Friction calves were some of the most sought-after calves in our production sale. In the recent fall calf crop, four of the top five weaning weight bull calves were sired by Friction, including the #1 WW bull ever at Hoover Angus at 921 pounds! Seven Friction fall bulls averaged $4722 in our 2009 production sale to be the top averaging sire group of the older bulls.

We successfully use Friction on heifers. Friction calves have added length, frame, and easy fleshing ability. Friction was purchased as a calving ease bull for $10,500 in 2006 from TC Ranch.

The first Friction daughters are now in production, and appear to be nice uddered females doing a good job. Friction sons and daughters will sell in our February 2, 2010 production sale. Semen is in extremely limited supply and no longer offered for sale.
